The 5 Buy Five Charity Art Show returns this Thurs., 2/15 from 5-6:30 pm at Merton Williams MS. 5x5" artwork by 8th-grade students will be available for purchase for only $5 each. Proceeds benefit the Hilton Cadet Cupboard & Hilton-Parma Emergency Food Shelf.
On Friday, Hilton High School held a very successful Career Fair for juniors and seniors who do not plan on attending college. Students could talk to and gather information from representatives from local government, manufacturing, cosmetology, welding, the building trades, transportation, pest control, and the military. Many thanks to the businesses and organizations who participated and to Steve Randall, technology teacher, for organizing the event!

Roxanne Root, Village 2nd grade teacher, was team captain. Special Olympics New York provides inclusive opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities, who compete in Olympic-style, coached sports.

Erin McBride’s kindergarten class at Northwood knows a thing or two about Australia! On Friday, they celebrated Australia Day by performing Australian songs for family and friends and listening to well wishes from many of the people their teacher knows from her six years teaching in Australia and one year teaching in New Zealand.
McBride lived all over Australia working as a substitute teacher and even making sausages on a pig farm! She then moved to New Zealand for a year where she taught grades 7 and 8. She returned to Melbourne just as the pandemic started and began online tutoring. As much as she loved living “down under,” McBride said she missed her family and decided to move back to Rochester. This is her first year teaching at Northwood.
After their performance, the students returned to their classroom with their family members where they colored Australian animal pictures, tasted vegemite, and took photos in front of the many beautiful pictures of Australia and New Zealand that decorate their classroom.

Congratulations Coach Gross and the Hilton Varsity Wrestling team on their second consecutive Section V dual meet championship! The Cadets defeated Brockport to win the meet championship. Hilton will continue on to the NYSPHSAA dual meet next Saturday at SRC Arena and Events Center in Syracuse!
A parent in Ashley Warren's kindergarten class at Village went above and beyond to bring joy to her son's classroom. Kelly Young, Jameson Young's mom, sent in a coloring sheet for each student, collected the students' hat designs, and created a unique hat for each of them. The students were thrilled by Ms. Young's kindness and creativity - and will love wearing their new hats in all of this snow!
