Drug Prevention and Mental Health
The Hilton Central School District promotes its vision of being the heart of the community by using resources that focus on the health and well-being of our students. We partner with several community agencies in order to provide prevention education and/or services locally and in our schools. Community providers for our students include the Catholic Family Center, Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and Villa of Hope.
Substance abuse prevention partners in our elementary schools include:
Monroe County Sheriff's D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Program in grade 5 (5/6 alternating years at Quest Elementary School)
Too Good For Drugs program in grade 6 provided by Villa of Hope (5/6 alternating years at Quest Elementary School)
Substance abuse prevention and student support services are available through contracted service providers from Catholic Family Services and are on site at Merton Williams Middle School and Hilton High School:
