Protecting student data is a priority for the Hilton Central School District. The five key bullets below provide a better understanding of student data privacy in the Hilton Central School District:
Student data is carefully safeguarded through school and district policies and procedures, as well as federal and state privacy laws that are specifically designed to protect sudent data.
Individuals within the district only have access to the identifiable data they need in order to carry out the responsibilities of their job.
We collect data including scores on tests and assignments, report card grades, attendance, demographics, information on special needs, graduation rates, and disciplinary actions. This data is used to determine eligibility for services and to personalize lesson plans for learning and thereby improve student achievement.
Our schools, the district, and technology partners are subject to strict penalites under law if student information is misused or compromised.
