Curriculum
Curriculum is a guide that specifies what is to be taught and how it will be assessed. The function of curriculum is to pull all students incrementally toward exit standards, as well as ensure all students have access to rigorous academic experiences. Hilton Central School District’s curriculum includes the content, concepts, and skills students will learn so that they can meet the New York State Standards and be prepared for the next phase of their education.
It is important to note that curriculum is not lesson plans. As always, any questions you have about the day-to-day operations of your student’s class should be directed to the teacher.
At Hilton Central School District, we believe that the curriculum is a work in progress. As with any curricular product, revision is expected and necessary. The product that is represented here emanates from our knowledge of New York State Standards, International Baccalaureate Framework, and educational best practices.
