Earth science students are ready for the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8 thanks to the Hilton High School Science Department. The Department purchased solar eclipse glasses for each student so they can safely view the eclipse on April 8. Shown are ninth graders Maddie Murphy (left) and Paige Blonsky testing out their new glasses.
The Hilton-Parma area is a prime spot for viewing the solar eclipse with about three minutes and 40 seconds of totality. The eclipse will enter New York State at 2:03 p.m. on Monday, April 8. Totality begins at 3:16 p.m. and ends at 3:29 p.m.
