The seven-member Hilton Board of Education will have two open seats on the May 21 ballot. Voters will select two board members to serve three-year terms (the seats currently held by Ed Mascadri and Stephanie Sloan). To become a board candidate, please obtain a Prospective School Board Candidate Packet from District Clerk Michelle McCue, District Office, 225 West Ave., Hilton. The packets will be available in late March. The completed petition must be filed with Ms. McCue by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 22.
To be a board candidate, one must be able to read and write, be a qualified voter in the Hilton School District (U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older), be a Hilton CSD resident for at least one year prior to the election, cannot be a Hilton CSD employee, a convicted felon, or have any other family members currently serving on the board.
