At its Nov. 14 meeting, the Hilton Board of Education appointed Sheena Eckler as a special education specialist assigned districtwide. She replaces Beth Kusse who retired on Jan. 2.
Eckler most recently worked for the Rochester City School District as an associate director of special education. Her 18-year tenure also included working as a transition specialist, lead teacher mentor for new special education teachers, and an elementary special education teacher at the World of Inquiry School #58.
Eckler is a graduate of St. John Fisher University with a bachelor’s degree in childhood education, a Master of Science in Special Education, and certificates in Educational Leadership - School Building Leader and School District Leader.
Eckler and her husband, Jeffrey, live in Webster with their daughter Lilliana “Lilly” and son Tyler. She began her new position on Dec. 18.
