Congratulations to Nancy Leport, Rick Francis & the Hilton Alumni Assoc. for being honored as ACT for Education 2024 Community Champions for Public Education. We are so grateful for all this organization has done for our students & staff!

A great way to start the day at Northwood! Students and staff were treated to fantastic performances from the bands and choruses!

Sending a heartfelt thank you to our five Hilton CSD principals on this School Principals' Day! We are grateful for your hard work every day, dedication, visionary thinking, and for keeping our schools running smoothly. #Welcoming #Affirming #CadetProud

Need a way to organize all your charging cords, a device to locate your dog in case they get lost, how about something to reduce that pesky and dangerous glare through the windshield when you're driving? If any of those sound like something you could use, then Northwood’s Invention Convention had what you were looking for.
Fifth grade students in the REACH class presented their creations in the auditorium on April 25. What these students might lack in experience, they make up for with creativity and enthusiasm. Students did research to discover common problems, used the design process to produce solutions and then planned, designed and created their inventions.
These presentations served as a warmup for the Western New York State Invention Convention which will be held this weekend in Buffalo. The top finalists from there will move on to the National Invention Convention at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. Northwood students have won the state competition for the last two years so hopefully they can make it three in a row!
A very special thanks to Cheryl Lee and Kim Browne who served as our judges.

Welcome to our newest staff! #Welcoming #Affirming #CadetProud

Also this Tuesday, across the street from QUEST, is the IB Visual Arts Senior Exhibition featuring the works of our senior student artists, This year’s seniors are incredibly talented, and their collective show will be in room 208 on the 2nd floor of the Hilton Community Center at 59 Henry Street. Students in Candice Hudson’s English as a New Language class at Northwood decorated their classroom with books and beautiful lanterns from home in preparation for Ramadan. The Muslim students and their families fast from sunrise to sunset during this holy time, which begins the evening of Sunday, Mar. 10 and goes until Tuesday, Apr. 9. The class also read the book Lailah’s Lunchbox: A Ramadan Story by Reem Faruqi. The story is about a girl who moves to a new country and worries that her classmates won’t understand why she doesn’t join them in the lunchroom.
