Child Safety

The Hilton Central School District continues to partner with the Bivona Child Advocacy Center to further educate and empower children and all relevant adults with information and strategies to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to all types of abuse, bullying, cyberbullying, and digital abuse dangers.

At the elementary level, community educators from Bivona deliver the Child Safety Matters™ program from the Monique Burr Foundation for Children. The program was developed with schools, is developmentally appropriate, and includes resources for parents. At the middle school, HCSD Health teachers received in-depth training and the information is embedded within the Health curriculum.

Additional details are provided below in the Parent Letter, the Parent Presentation Slides, and grade-specific activities and parent information sheets. If families have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the building principal or the Director of K-12 Learning and Staff Development.
