QUEST sixth grade students have been working on their Exhibition projects, exploring an issue that has personal importance, applying the skills learned throughout the IB Primary Years Programme, and taking action. One group is creating a model of the Pacific Garbage Patch to explore ways to clean up plastic and microplastic pollution in the ocean. Another group is learning about access to clean drinking water by testing water, looking at it under a microscope, and seeing how filters work. A third group dissected a mammal brain to explore the anatomy and structure of the brain, with a goal of comparing it to changes in a brain with dementia. Impressive!
