A big thank you to Dr. Darren Lipomi, 2001 Hilton graduate who is currently the Chair of the Department of Chemical and Sustainability Engineering at the University of Rochester. Dr. Lipomi spent time on Friday and today speaking to science classes about the path he took and some of the amazing projects he is currently involved in.

Congratulations to High School counselor Kaleem Mogent who was a recipient of NYSSCA’s Leadership Grant Award at last week's New York State School Counselor Association conference. Recipients of this award are selected by a committee of counselors from across NY State for their leadership potential and willingness to commit to serving as a leader within NYSSCA.


This past weekend Hilton High School hosted the 47th Hilton Model U.N. Conference. 29 schools and more than 700 delegates attended from as far aways as New Hartford, Hamilton, Ithaca, and Fayetteville-Manlius. Hilton senior Lila Wolkenberg-Lewandowski, served as Secretary-General, along with Committee Chairs: Senior Gabriella Maccarone and sophomore Lucas Childs. Aaliah Tobin, sophomore, won Best Delegate for her committee UNDP.
The event raised more than $4,600 for Rochester Rainbow Union and they will also make a donation to the Hilton-Parma Food Pantry.

About a dozen area colleges visited the High School this afternoon for the Western New York College Fair. Students were able to learn first-hand about everything from academic and athletic offerings to extracurriculars and student life.








A great opportunity for students in Steve Randall's Principles of Engineering class. They visited Optimax in Ontario, NY yesterday to learn about real-world engineering in a precision optics environment.

The Hilton Robotics team got its first taste of competition this year, taking on other area teams at Nazareth University. They're gearing up for the FIRST Robotics Competition at RIT in March.




Congratulations to our Cadet Student-Athletes who have helped Hilton High School be named a School of Excellence by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association. This designation is awarded to schools that have at least 75% of their varsity teams achieve Scholar-Athlete Team Awards.
