On Feb. 9, Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES Career and Technical Education (CTE) students signed on the dotted line for the Finger Lakes Youth Apprenticeship Program (FLYAP). Eleven BOCES 2 CTE students were a part of the fifth annual “Signing Day” ceremony, commemorating their acceptance into paid co-ops and job shadowing opportunities through several local advanced manufacturing companies.
Two Hilton students were accepted into this program. Residential and Commercial Electrical student Justin Guest signed on for a co-op with Diamond Packaging. Advanced Manufacturing student Colin Neu signed on for a co-op with Jrlon.
These opportunities will help the students expand upon the skills and knowledge they have gained from their respective BOCES 2 CTE programs.
