Erin Shaw was appointed to the position of Hilton High School assistant principal at the Board of Education’s June 13 meeting. She replaces Carol Saladzius who is relocating out of state.
Most recently, Shaw was assistant principal at Spencerport High School, including overseeing the Academy program. Prior to that, she worked for 20 years at Rush-Henrietta Senior High School as a math teacher, instructional coach, and teacher on special assignment. During that time, Shaw also received National Board Certification and was a NYS Master Teacher.
Shaw’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary education with a concentration in math from SUNY Plattsburgh, a master’s degree in educational technology from Nazareth College, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in educational leadership from SUNY Brockport.
“I am thankful that my journey in education has brought me back home and given me the opportunity to serve the district where my heart belongs,” said Shaw. “I am excited to walk through familiar doors and once again become a member of the Cadet family.”
A North Greece/Hilton area resident, Shaw lives with her life partner, Dennis, and their Frenchton puppy, Gary. She begins her new position July 1.
