The Rochester Democrat & Chronicle is working on a Student of the Week Initiative for Fall 2024. Nominations for students from the classes of 2025, 2026, and 2027 are being collected now, so the feature can be launched at the start of the school year in September.
Local students will receive recognition each week in the D&C and at www.democratandchronicle.com. As with the existing Athlete of the Week features, a handful of students in a specific area (art, music, volunteerism, writing, science, etc.) will be listed and readers will have two days to vote on a winner. At the end of the school year, the D&C will produce special pages incorporating all the winners and the nominees who have been featured.

Please be sure the information is accurate and the nomination has been cleared with the student or their parents/guardians. Nominations should be submitted by June 30. A photo may be included.
