Emily McFarlane dressed as Clementine

Northwood ES launched its One School, One Book event last night with an evening full of fun activities centered around the book, Clementine, by Sara Pennypacker. Students and their families were greeted by Emily McFarlane, library media specialist, dressed as Clementine, a clever and quirky third grader who’s the most spectacular friend around! Throughout the school, there were plenty of activities – including cookie decorating, coloring, a scavenger hunt, bowling with oranges, Lego building, BINGO, a photo opportunity, reading with Principal Melissa Perkowski and Assistant Principal Sadie Beeman, and identifying mystery produce. Today, students received their copy of the book and will read it with their families throughout March.
