Learning Walks

Merton Williams Middle School participated in “learning walks” this week. The goal of the walks was to gather information about how middle schools are implementing research-based, high quality instructional practices to promote clear evidence of student engagement and learning.

Teachers from Twelve Corners Middle School in Brighton visited Merton Williams Thursday, while Merton Williams teachers visited Twelve Corners Wednesday. As part of the visits, the teachers spent time in classrooms to observe instruction and taking a tour of the schools. At the end of the visit, the groups met to share their observations and ideas.
