Mark Chase Assistant Principal Hilton High School Welcome to the Cadet Family

At its July 26 special meeting, the Hilton Board of Education appointed Mark Chase as assistant principal at Hilton High School. He replaces Mark Driesel, who accepted a principal position in another district.

Chase began his educational career in 1987 as a vocational education teacher at Monroe 1 BOCES-Foreman Center. He taught technology education at Penfield High School and, most recently, taught Career and Technical Education at Monroe 2 – Orleans BOCES WEMOCO where he also was an MCC dual-enrollment instructor.

Chase worked summers as a Career Ventures mentor and currently is an intern assistant principal for BOCES Regional Summer School at Hilton High School. As part of his involvement in career and technical education, Chase has served as a statesman and advisor for Skills USA student leadership conferences and competitions in New York State.

Chase’s education includes bachelor’s and master's degrees in technology education from SUNY Oswego and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from SUNY Brockport. He is also certified in School Building and School District Leadership.

A lifelong resident of West Irondequoit, Chase and his wife, Melanie, live in the house they built 30 years ago. They have a 28-year-old daughter, Casey, who lives and works in New York City, and an energetic golden retriever named Brooklyn.

“I’m genuinely exhilarated to be joining the team of dedicated administrators at Hilton High School,” said Chase. “I believe that together we’ll continue to foster an environment of excellence, innovation, and holistic development for our students. My commitment to education extends beyond just academics; it's about nurturing young minds, supporting our teaching staff, and creating a community where every individual feels valued and inspired.”
